Renault teases the Megane E-Tech Electric

Renault will soon be adding a battery-powered Megane E-Tech Electric to its lineup. We saw the concept in last October, and it looks like the final production car will share much in common with it.

The photos depict the rear end of the car, some of its interior details, a digital dashboard, and an infotainment system display. The rear seems little different from the concept: there is a LED light spanning its entire width and connecting the slim brake lights. There is also a new Renault badge under the Megane caption.

The infotainment system boasts large touch-based controls and sits above a whole row of unmarked hardware buttons and a cell phone pocket.

It is official that the Megane E-Tech Electric will make use of the CMF-EV architecture co-developed with Nissan. The same architecture will power the 2022 Nissan Ariya. Powertrain specifications remain undisclosed, but the manufacturer promises to reveal them “in the near future”.
