Bentley barely facelifts the Flying Spur

The Bentley Flying Spur isn’t even two years old, but the British luxury carmaker still found a few things to tweak here and there.

Compared to the pre-facelift version shown in the video here, the facelifted saloon is available in one extra body paint scheme. The grey finish complements the existing palette of 62 finishes.

The company claims that exhaustive digital modeling and testing enabled it to come up with an unparalleled noise proofing system. Selective application of sound dampening materials results in complete silence inside the cabin.

Elsewhere, the trim now makes use of wood veneer coated with three layers of clear matte lacquer to preserve its natural hue and texture. Air ionization is now listed under standard features along with a top overview camera, traffic sign recognition, dimmable mirrors, ‘welcome’ illumination, and a tailgate that automatically opens if you swing your hand near it.

The stock six-liter W12 under the hood still delivers 625 PS (626 hp / 467 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque to the wheels through a ZF eight-speed semi-automatic transmission. The car needs 3.8 seconds to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) and proceeds to accelerate until maxing out at 333 km/h (207 miles per hour).
