Ford says you can 3D-print whatever Maverick accessories you need

Ford has been making some major ripples with the announcement of the Maverick, its affordable, compact, electrified pickup truck for the USA. The latest news only makes things more interesting.

Apparently, the automaker has developed a whole system based on the FITS technology that will be open for everyone and enable printing any of the car accessories you might want in 3D. The list already includes organizers, double hooks for hanging bags, cup holders, a trash bin, and assorted boxes. You can store some of these under the rear bench.

Ford says it is positive that many designers, creatives and authors will appreciate the opportunities offered by the FITS system, and is excited to see what they will come up with. An entire online community will emerge soon for these individuals to share their projects and ideas with each other.
