Car Tuning

Would you go for forced induction with your Porsche 911 GT3 RS?

Porsche made every conceivable effort to ensure that the naturally aspirated flat-six it designed for the 911 GT3 RS was unparalleled in its class. Apparently, someone felt it could still do with a supercharger.

Florida-based tuner TKB Motorsports did the installation, fitting the engine with a ProCharger P1X, aftermarket tube headers, a Turbosmart blow-off valve, track-ready air filters and a titanium exhaust system.

In the end, the modifications enabled the engine to produce an extra 200 hp (203 PS / 150 kW) and 142 Nm (105 pound-feet) of torque for a total of 720 hp (730 PS / 537 kW) and 613 Nm (452 lb-ft).

The exterior was allowed to remain stock except for the rear bumper, which was removed to reveal the supercharger setup. In the video, the owner praises the build, but says that a methanol system and E85 fuel support would be nice to implement next.

Would you be inclined to agree, or does it sound like blasphemy to you?
