Hennessey announces an anniversary batch of 1,000-HP Camaro Exorcists

Hennessey Performance will turn 30 soon, and it will be releasing 30 exclusive Chevrolet Camarо “The Exorcist” coupes tuned to the hilt to celebrate the occasion.

According to John Hennessey, CEO and founder of the company, the Exorcist is a muscle car in the truest sense of the word: powerful, agile, and capable of outrunning nearly any sports car on the drag strip. As some of you must have guessed by now, its name is an obvious poke at the Dodge Demon.

The anniversary edition will receive a performance supercharger, a redesigned air intake system, an aftermarket camshaft, ported cylinder heads, a massive radiator, new exhaust components, and much more.

As a result, it will slam the ground with all of 1,013 PS (1,000 hp / 746 kW) and 1,197 Nm (883 lb-ft) of torque. With a launch time of 2.1 seconds, it will cover a quarter of a mile in 9.57 seconds and eventually hit 350 km/h (217 mph).
