Renault Clio spawns Lutecia Edition for UK

The Renault office in Great Britain is already accepting pre-orders for a Lutecia version of the regular Clio hatchback (see video). The name corresponds to what ancient Romans called the capital of France.

The car sports a black body adorned with brass accents on the radiator grille, fenders, mirrors, bumpers, the antenna, and 17-inch wheels. The interior makes use of a 9.3-inch touchscreen display and puts some brass accents on the standard upholstery, although there are no photos of it yet.

From the equipment perspective, the car improves upon the already lush S Edition trim level. There is an HVAC, blind zone monitoring, electronic handbrake, heated seats and steering wheel, speed-limited ACC, an Easy Link multimedia center with the largest display available, sat-nav, parking sensors, a reversing camera, power windows, and immersive ambient lighting.

Power is provided by a 1.0-lier turbo three-cylinder rated at 92 PS (91 hp / 68 kW) and 160 Nm (118 lb-ft) of torque. The transmission is six-speed manual. As for the Clio E-Tech Hybrid, it still hasn’t been released in the UK.

Renault will be making 300 units priced starting from £20,200. The first buyers will have their cars delivered early this fall.
