Barely used Jaguar classic crops up on sale in Russia

A 57-year-old Jaguar E-Type Series 1 can be yours for 7.6 million rubles ($106,100 USD at current conversion rates).

The owner claims that the sports car only has 1,828 miles (2,942 kilometers) on the odometer, which has mile markings for some reason. The steering wheel is on the left-hand side. The current owner imported it from Germany into Russia 14 years ago and cleared the customs with no issues. The record mentions two owners, but the seller says he was the only one who actually used it, and even then only to attend special events and shows.

Power comes from a 4.2-liter inline-six engine rated at 265 PS (261 hp / 195 kW) and 384 Nm (283 lb-ft) of torque. Jaguar only began installing this engine on the E-Type in 1964 (watch the video for another example), so this could be one of the world’s first E-Type models with this engine type.
