Fancy yourself a fiery coffin on wheels? Barris Kustoms will be selling one next year

An auction will be held in Florida on January 6-15, 2022, where a unique show car nicknamed ‘Munsters Dragula’ will go on sale without reserve, meaning you can bet as low as you like.

George Barris and Dick Dean of Barris Kustoms built the one-off hot rod for the TV show The Munsters. In fact, there are four other, similar but not identical, Dragulas out there.

A 4.7-liter Ford V8 drives the wheels with 350 PS (345 hp / 257 kW) through a racing transmission. The wheels themselves are wrapped in Radir drag tires for optimum traction. The rear axle lies within the boundaries of the bodywork, forcing the driver to take a seat right in front of a rear reduction gear.

While in a theoretically drivable state, the car has serious overheating issues, and the seller warns against trying to start it up. The heat is intense enough to be capable of peeling off the golden paintjob and even starting a fire.

Some collectors believe this Dragula is the best-preserved car of its kind, and with a recent maintenance, it could very well be true. All authenticity papers from Barris Kustoms are included in the deal.
