Lincoln Aviator debuts in Jet Appearance

The second-gen Lincoln Aviator had only recently come to the market, but the automaker must have felt that it needed a push to sell better. This is what the Jet Appearance package is aiming for, at any rate.

Gloss-black trim pieces replace all the chrome on the exterior, including radiator grille, roof rails, black lower panel insert, and mirror caps. Darkened 22-inch wheels round off the styling.

According to Earl Lucas, Lincoln’s Exterior Design Director, the black accents serve to emphasize the strong outlines and the smooth appearance of the SUV, while at the same time lending it more personality and making it more noticeable in the traffic.

The Jet Appearance will be available in white, black, silver and Bordeaux Red finishes. Sales will start in early 2022.
