Mercedes-Benz T-Class breaks cover with specs and pricing
Mercedes-Benz announced the T-Class compact van in the summer of 2020, but hasn’t launched it until today. Let us take a closer look at it.
The van shares its technical underpinnings with the Renault Kangoo and is 4,498 mm (176 inches) long with 2,716 mm (106 inches) of wheelbase. The version on sale right now has five seats, but a seven-seater is underway to the market, too. An all-electric version is also in the works.
Customers in Europe will be able to choose between a diesel and a gasoline four-cylinder engine. The former can be boosted to either 95 PS (94 hp / 70 kW) or 116 PS (114 hp / 85 kW), while the latter is obtainable in 102 PS (101 hp / 75 kW) and 131 PS (129 hp / 96 kW) flavors. Transmission choices boil down to six-speed manual and seven-speed DCT.
In its most basic form, the T-Class offers 16-inch wheels, halogen headlamps (LEDs are a paid option), a 7-inch multimedia display, a multi-function steering wheel, and seven airbags.
Prices start at €30,000.
