Neta launches over 21,500 rapid charge stations for EVs

Neta Auto, a Chinese electric car sub-brand owned by Hozon Auto, has reported installing another 2,410 EV charging stations nationwide, bringing the total to 21,352 plug-in points in 200 cities.

The explansion of the infrastructural network coincided with EV production growth for Neta, which means new EV owners were more likely to find their charging needs fully covered where they live. The company commissioned 1,731 charging stations over the past seven months alone, covering 95 percent of the sales map for Neta EVs.

Delving further into statistics, the automaker points out that Neta car drivers have consumed 39 gigawatt-hours of power and driven over 260,000,000 kilometers (161,556,460 miles) in the past four years. Looking forward, the business plans to expand its presence to 298 cities in China, 22,000 charging stations and 180,000 plug-in terminals.

Depending on the specific car model bought, customers may choose between a free home charger for their new EV or a voucher for 2,000 kWh of free energy at Neta charging outlets nationwide. The latter translates into 10,000–15,000 km (6,214–9,320 miles) of range depending on the specific drivetrain and driving style.

Neta has two crossover SUVs in its current lineup, the V Pro and the U Pro. A sporty sedan named Neta S is expected to join the family soon with up to 800 km (497 miles) of all-electric range (see video for details). Opting for a range-extender engine in this model will net you another 300 km (186 miles).
