Haval Cool Dog full specs and pricing revealed

Haval has published the detailed specifications and price range applicable to its newest crossover SUV, the Cool Dog. Despite the ‘badass off-roader’ looks, the vehicle makes do with only two driven wheels in all trim levels except for the highest – fourth – one.

Prices start at 123,800 Yuan and climb to 149,800 Yuan in the aforementioned top spec. Both engines on offer have 1.5 liters of displacement, drive 18-inch wheels through a DCT with preselection, and mainly only differ by their turbo potential.

Thus, the two affordable trim levels come equipped with a block called GW4G15M rated at 150 PS (148 hp / 110 kW) and 218 Nm (161 lb-ft) of torque. These lie within the range of 123,800 – 130,000 Yuan.

The two highest trims benefit from a more potent GW4B15L engine capable of 184 PS (181 hp / 135 kW) and 275 Nm (203 lb-ft) of torque. The FWD version costs 138,000 Yuan before options and the range-topping AWD spec comes in at 150,000 Yuan.

Standard features across the board include a panoramic sunroof and a pair of 12.3-inch dashboard displays. One of these acts as the digital gauge cluster, while the other one serves as the multimedia touchscreen. The infotainment software supports OTA updates, recognizes voice commands and offers navigation. Also on the list is an 18-speaker JVC audio system with satellites built into the front seat headrests.

The Haval Cool Dog comes based on the same unitized platform called L.E.M.O.N. as the Big Dog/Dargo model, but is 100 mm (3.9 inches) shorter than that SUV. It is also related to the Jolion model from the technical perspective. Its length, width, height, wheelbase and clearance amount to 4520, 1875, 1745, 2710 and 196 millimeters, respectively.
