Take the driver’s seat as this AMG E63 S wagon hits its speed limit on the autobahn

Mercedes is already preparing the next-gen E-Class to rumble, but the current generation still has the capacity to amaze, as a recent video by AutoTopNL shows.
In case you forgot, the estate car draws its power from a four-liter V8 boosted to 612 PS (603 hp / 450 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque, conveyed to all four wheels through the company’s signature 4Matic AWD system. With the optional top speed pack installed, the car can get close to 300 km/h (186 mph). This is exactly what AutoTopNL tried to achieve with its example.
When the left lane of the speedway was all clear at last, the driver floors the pedal and soon hits 302 km/h, or 187.8 mph, on the speedometer gauge. We all know these tend to report slightly higher speeds than actual, but even so, the result is highly impressive for a family car, is it not?
