2024 Exeed VX specs and prices announced before sales launch

Chery is already accepting reservations for the Exeed VX facelift that it insists on calling ‘the next generation’. The SUV looks almost unchanged despite being based on a new platform with a different interior layout.

The new architecture is called M3X 2.0 and benefits from suspension improvements, a more rigid body structure and support for a plethora of modern driving aids. The engine stays the same, though – the 2.0-liter turbo mill still produces 261 PS (257 hp / 190 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. The old dual-clutch transmission is gone, replaced with a new eight-speed automatic design.

At 4,970 x 1,940 x 1,792 millimeters large with 2.9 meters separating the axles, the size is basically unchanged. Styling differences largely boil down to mildly redesigned bumpers and front grille.

Things get more interesting in the cockpit. The front panel is dominated by a large glass pane with built-in air vents and a trio of displays, not unlike the arrangement found in recent Mercedes-Benz cars. The display sizes remain to be revealed, but the company mentions Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155-based hardware and Lion 5.0 for the operating system.

Passengers will know to appreciate new, more comfortable seats, and those who don’t like the standard seven-seat layout may go for six seats and get heating, massage, ventilation and footrests in the second row.

According to AutoHome, the prices will lie within the range of 209,900–229,900 Yuan when the Exeed VX goes on sale next month.
