Lynk & Co 08 exterior fully revealed

Lynk & Co, a premium car marque co-owned by Geely and Volvo, continues posting teasers featuring its new SUV, the 08. Today, we can finally get a good look at its exterior.

The model will be the first to take advantage of a new design language the Swedish-Chinese brand is getting ready to reveal. We have already seen the profile view, but not the front or the rear ends, which are now also shown in detail with new bumpers, headlights with vertical DRLs, and taillights spanning the entire width of the rear end (and even crossing over to the fenders).

A peek inside the wheel arches reveals new ‘aerodynamic’ wheels. The side mirrors sport unusual supports highlighted in black for contrast along with some other trim elements.

There is only cabin rendering so far, which reveals a large horizontal infotainment display and a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel. Powering the system is an operating system called Flyme Auto by Meizu, which counts Geely among its investors.

The powertrain is plug-in hybrid and based on a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine. There are no further details at this moment.

The full reveal is expected to take place at the Shanghai Auto Show starting on April 18, 2023. An online premiere will be held on March 30, but Carscoops say there are reports about the company preparing a surprise reveal five days ahead of the official date.
