Meet Wey Lanshan, a REX hybrid with 1,200 km of range

Business has been slow for Chinese automaker Wey last year, but the new Wey Lanshan SUV may take the company out of this predicament with its luxurious interior and serious driving range.

The SUV is 5,156 mm (201.4 inches) long with 3,050 mm (119.1 inches) between the axles. The default wheels are 21 inches large.

The cabin offers six seats arranged in three rows with massage, ventilation, heating and power adjustments pre-installed for the first and the second row by default. Footrests are also provided. The dash panel houses three displays, plus a heads-up display. Panoramic sunroof is listed under standard features, too.

In the drivetrain department, a 1.5-liter petrol turbo engine produces 150 PS (148 hp / 110 kW), but it is largely only used for topping up the traction battery. Most of the forward momentum comes from electric motors jointly rated at 517 PS (510 hp / 380 kW) and 933 Nm (688 lb-ft) of torque. The all-electric range on the battery alone amounts to a decent 180 km (112 miles) and expands to 1,200 km (745 miles) with the gas tank full.
