2024 Volkswagen Golf shows off new headlights

Volkswagen CEO declared at the beginning of the year that the Golf lineup would get a mid-life refresh in 2024. It could very well be the last update for the ICE hatchback before it goes all-electric. A prototype has recently been spotted on the streets with production-ready bodywork and lighting.

Volkswagen chose not to disguise the new headlights, which look slimmer compared to the current design (see video). Judging by the lower air intake bars, the front bumper has also been reshaped. Decals on the taillights conceal their true light patterns, but the casing appears intact.

The Golf facelift brings along a large touch-sensitive display and returns traditional buttons to the steering wheel. Volkswagen said it received negative feedback regarding capacitive controls and decided not to use them anymore.
