Alpine A110 R Le Mans laps up the titular track ahead of the event

Alpine has revealed its latest limited edition of the A100 R sports car celebrating the 100 years of the famous Le Mans endurance marathon. It will emerge in a series of just 100 vehicles with mostly aesthetic tweaks and standard tech. The promotional video was filmed at Circuit de la Sarte where the race will take place in a few days.

The design leitmotif is a combination of black, white and blue colors. The blue elements -accents on carbon-fiber wheels, brake calipers, double pinstripe and badges – are a nod to the traditional Le Mans color. A small aerodynamic fin pays homage to racecar stabilizers.

The interior accommodates Sabelt bucket seats adorned with embroidered ornaments and sun visors with the Le Mans track embossed on them. According to Alpine, the suspension was tweaked for this specific circuit.

The French sports car maker has been occasionally taking part in the endurance race over the past 60 years. The Alpine A210 prototype that participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1967 is briefly shown in the vid.

Price-wise, owning a collection-worthy A110 will cost you €140,000, making it the manufacturer’s most expensive limited edition to date. The standard A110 R can be purchased from €105,000.
