Rare modern Porsche 911 up for grabs for $450k+

A 2023 Porsche 911 Sport Classic, number 256 in a batch of 1,250 production units, is up for auction in the United States right now with 16 km (10 miles) on the clock. The owner purchased it in California for $292,560; the bidding has already crossed $450,000.

Porsche returned the Sport Classic modification to the 911 lineup after 13 years of non-production. The original series came out in the late 2000s in a batch limited to 250 units and was inspired by the company’s classics from 1964–1973. Like the old 911 Turbo, the example on sale flaunts a wide body kit. It also has a “double bubble” roof made from carbon fiber, a ducktail spoiler similar to that of the 1972 Carrera RS 2.7, and Fuchs-style staggered centerlock wheels.

An Underberg Green exterior (an OEM option) goes along with Cognac Red semi-aniline leather in the cabin, Pepita fabric and natural wood accents. The dashboard bears a serial number plaque. 18-way adjustable/heated front seats, a a two-zone climate control system and a Burmeister audio system are included as well.

Power for the modern exotic is provided by a 3.7-liter flat-six engine mated to a seven-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive system. It outputs 550 PS (542 hp / 404 kW) and 600 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque. PASM adaptive suspension is also a part of the base spec, along with a 10mm (0.4”) suspension lowering, four-wheel steering and carbon-ceramic brakes.
