BMW announces a limited-run, manual M3 for Japan

The new BMW M3 MT Final Edition will emerge in Japan in a series limited to 150 units sporting exclusive finishes and a manual gearbox.

At least for that country, the Final Edition will officially be the last manual BMW ever made. Aside from saying farewell to the stick shift, it celebrates 35 years since the German company’s first DTM triumph.

Out of the 150 cars planned for release, 50 will be finished in black, 50 in grey and the remaining 50 in white. All will ride on gold-hued alloy wheels and have red accents in the cabin. Judging by the official photos, the trim will include a carbon-fiber top as well.

Should the number of preorders exceed 150, a raffle will be held in May to determine those who get the sedan. Prices will start from ¥14.2 million.
