McLaren adopts a new design language

After a change of ownership earlier this week, the British supercar manufacturer has now announced major changes coming to its vehicle design.

At this point, all we’ve got is a handful of rather abstract sketches (images 1–3 in the gallery below). However, the company points out that it drew inspiration from the glorious history of the McLaren badge when it came up with its new “brand DNA”.

Among other things, the designers looked at the marque’s assorted Formula 1 racecars and the legendary McLaren F1 hypercar from the 1990s for inspiration.
