Chery Tiggo 8 gets its annual refresh in China

Chery has brought a facelifted Tiggo 8 SUV to the Auto China show, so let’s see what’s new.

Starting at the front, the radiator grille now has a new bezel and a different pattern. The bumper has been reworked and the stacked headlights connected to form a single LED strip. The old door handles have been replaced with a modern pull-out design. While not official, AutoHome reports that the wheelbase has been lengthened as well.

The interior feels completely different. The steering wheel is somewhat flattened and houses a handful of touch buttons. The transmission lever has traveled from the tunnel to the steering column, and the dashboard now looks more like something out of the Tiggo 9 or a recent Exeed model. The instrument cluster and the infotainment display are represented by two separate screens, and the one in the middle is much larger than the pre-facelift 10.2 inches.

Rumor has it Chery plans to offer the new Tiggo 8 in China with a variety of ICE and hybrid powertrains to choose from.
