23-year-old, well-maintained Nissan GT-R hits auction

A rare right-hand-drive Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) is on sale in the UK right now with the bidding at $95,000 and a few hours remaining. Despite having been made in 2000 and imported from Japan five years ago with nearly 150,000 km (92,000 miles) under its belt, it looks like new and is in fully operational condition.

Starting with the exterior color, it’s the coveted Midnight Purple III that collectors all around the world hunt for. The bumpers, the side mirror covers and the taillight frames have been resprayed, but the rest of the car retains the iconic livery. It also wears a number of aftermarket parts, including a carbon-fiber front splitter, a spoiler and side canards. The suspension makes use of MeisterR coilovers, and the engine benefits from tweaked ECU/turbo settings, as well as a new exhaust system.

The block itself is stock – it’s the R34’s legendary 2.6-liter inline six-cylinder unit mated to all four wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. The interior is largely preserved in its original condition, but the cloth-draped bucket seats are new, as is the carbon dashboard trim and the audio system.
