Nissan Patrol becomes Premcar’s next car to gain Warrior tuning package

Not long ago, Australian engineering firm Premcar released a number of off-road tweaks and accessories for the facelifted Navara Pro-4X, and now, a similar package is becoming available for the Patrol SUV.

The upgrade is called Warrior and incorporates a 50mm (2-inch) lift kit, 40mm (1.6-inch) track spacers and assorted suspension improvements. The company claims that the whole is meant to improve handling and dynamics on uneven terrain. The AWD system has also been tweaked for better torque control.

On the visual side of things, the car differs from stock thanks to flared arches, black front grille and side mirrors, and a red skid plate at the front end. The arches are occupied by new 18-inch wheels shod in 34.4-inch tires. Dual tailpipes exit from the right side of the SUV and can be set to sound quiet or loud according to your preferences.

Inside, imitation suede covers most surfaces where gloss-black and woodgrain accents used to be. The engine stays stock, which is not necessarily a bad thing given that it’s a 5.6-liter naturally aspirated V8.

The tuning kit will soon go on sale in Australia, but neither the specific date nor the pricing have been announced yet.
