Car Tuning
Nissan has once again teamed up with tuning company Premcar to produce a special version of its Patrol SUV for Australia. Dubbed Warrior, it boasts impressive overlanding capabilities thanks to added equipment and starts nearly 20,000 AUD (13,000 USD) above list price.
The SUV rides 29 mm higher thanks to a suspension lift and gets another 21 mm from new 18-inch wheels shod in Yokohama tires. The total clearance gain amounts to 50 mm (2 inches). The wheel span is 40 mm (1.6 in) wider as well, and the suspension makes use of new springs.
On the outside, the Warrior differentiates itself from the stock car with a new front bumper promising a better approach angle, wheel arch extensions, black décor all around and new badges. A 2.5mm (0.1-inch) stainless-steel plate is used for undercarriage protection, and while the 5.6-liter V8 under the hood continues to churn out its usual 400 horsepower, it benefits from a new exhaust system.
The car is available only in Australia’s most expensive Patrol trim level called Ti. It comes with a rear differential lock, eight seats in the cabin, an 8-inch infotainment display and a range of electronic assists. Prices start from 101,160 AUD, or roughly $65,000.
