Dongfeng-Nissan has revealed the first official photos of its China-spec Teana sedan. The exterior looks different and the same likely applies to the cabin, but the engines should be the same, AutoChina.com speculates.
The post-facelift car will be known as the Teana Plus. It’s a common practice in China that lets automakers sell the old and the new version side-by-side. Judging by the pics, the newcomer has a significantly updated front fascia design with a new radiator grille, Nissan’s modern side inserts, reshaped headlights and a more aggressive bumper.
The rear is dominated by a brake light strip with a pixelated pattern and illuminated Nissan lettering. The company says there are new wheels up to 19 inches large to choose from, as well as an optional twin-tone exterior finish for those interested.
With these aesthetic tweaks, the Teana is now 4,920 mm (192.2 inches) long. That’s 14 mm (0.55”) longer than the pre-facelift variant. All other dimensions stay exactly the same, though. For the interior, we expect infotainment updates and more connected services, but any details will have to wait until the premiere.
When Nissan certified its 2026 Teana in China, it did so with the same 2.0-liter turbo as the pre-facelift version. The engine produces 243 PS (240 hp / 179 kW) and uses a CVT with eight virtual “gears” to send the torque to the front wheels. Naturally aspirated engines remain available for the current model year, but they will likely be scrapped for the 2026MY facelift.
