Car Tuning
RUF is more than just an auto tune-up shop: their Porsche builds are so unique, they even get their own VIN codes! Take the famous RUF RCT, for example, which arrived in the 1990s, used the 964 chassis and was a hit until it went out of production. Well, you can now order a restomod version of it called the RCT Evo, although it will cost you an arm and a leg.
The €350,000 starting price for the conversion alone has its reasons: RUF intends to endow the old Porsche with power, handling and acceleration dynamics more closely associated with the today’s models. Customers will be offered two body types – standard and wide – and carbon fiber will be available as the main bodywork material.
The tuner does not mention any specific performance numbers. The original car produced between 1989 and 1993 had up to 360 PS (355 hp / 265 kW) and utilized five-speed manual transmission.
