Drag Race: Porsche 911 Turbo S dares challenge the Ferrari SF90

Many will agree that the Porsche 911 (992) Turbo S works wonders on the drag strip, challenging supercars way above its own class and tearing them apart. But how would it compare against a Ferrari SF90? We know now, thanks to Carwow.

The epic drag strip run sees a 911 Turbo S going up against a hybrid SF90 Stradale coupe. The Italian pumps out 1,000 PS (986 hp / 735 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque and tips the scales at just 1,570 kilos (3,461 pounds). In turn, the Turbo S makes do with 3.7 liters of displacement in a flat-six engine good for 650 PS (641 hp / 478 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft). It is also slightly heavier at 1,640 kg (3,615 pounds).

To depart from our usual ‘watch the video’ formula, we will spoil the outcome for you if you really want it. As you probably expected, the Ferrari managed to score a clear victory against the Porsche in all standing and rolling races. However, what really impressed us was how far behind the 911 was. This is something you will have to see to believe!
