Porsche 911 Dakar lineup gets showered with nostalgic racing liveries

Porsche has designed a few livery options for the recently introduced 911 Dakar. All wraps pay homage to the rally racers that took part in the Safari Rally back in the 1970s.

Since we are talking about a wrap here, it means you can freely apply it and remove it whenever you want to. The first design is called Rallye 1971 and references the car that came fifth in that year’s competition. It is adorned with the number 19 and black decals.

The second option is called Rallye 1974 and reminds us of the exploits of Björn Waldegård and his crew. The team was close to winning, but ultimately scored the second place due to a sudden breakdown. The number 19 is present here as well, along with blue stickers.

The third and last livery is dedicated to a Martini Racing Porsche that scored silver in 1978. It dons the number 14 and is white and red with light blue stripes.
