Renault Master revealed in Europe with ICE, electric and hydrogen power options

Renault has presented an all-new Master van lineup, complete with a new architecture, design and interior. Switching to a new platform enabled the company to offer a full range of powertrains from traditional engines to hydrogen fuel cell setups. The sales will begin next spring.

Customers can choose from three available body lengths and a couple of roof heights. The drive can be either on the front or the rear axle, but not both. Overall, Renault is offering more than 40 possible Master modifications for sale.

The exterior has been reworked from scratch with an emphasis on aerodynamic performance. New C-shaped DRLs and revised front bumper/grille have also been added.

The dashboard inside is different, too, with the central part titled slightly towards the driver. The infotainment touchscreen is 10 inches large and included in the base spec. The dashboard is analog by default, but you can pay a premium for digital.

In its most basic version, the new Renault Master ships with a 2.0-liter diesel engine available in versions rated from 105 to 170 PS (103–168 hp; 77-125 kW). The electric versions utilize e-motors making either 130 or 143 PS (128 or 141 hp; 96 or 105 kW). Finally, there is a hydrogen fuel cell option on the list, but its specifications remain to be disclosed.
