Spofec – Novitec’s subsidiary dealing exclusively with Rolls-Royce cars – has rolled out its take on the Ghost Black Badge.
The luxury sedan is already considered one of the manufacturer’s sportier offers, which is a novel concept for the marque whose cars are largely intended to be chauffeured, not driven. Still, the times are changing, and Spofec incentivizes drivers to make the most use out of the stock 6.75-liter V12 by raising its output to 706 PS (696 hp / 519 kW) and 1,001 Nm (739 lb-ft) of torque. Tuned like this, the luxobarge manages to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.3 seconds before maxing out at its electronic cap, 250 km/h (155 mph).
The exterior looks suitably restrained and only subtly modded with blacked-out trim bits and an elegant carbon-fiber body kit. Clashing with the theme somewhat is a loud stainless-steel sports exhaust system – but it has valves installed to let you decide when to be quiet and when to get noticed.
Rounding off the project are 22-inch Vossen Forged rims finished in black. The tuner says there are 72 finish options for this wheel model. The stock suspension is calibrated to sit 40 mm (1.6 inches) lower than usual, but it rises automatically whenever the car goes faster than 140 km/h (87 mph).
How do you like this unconventional Rolls-Royce?
