This Scooby Doo-themed VW Crafter van could be yours for ca. $50k

Does this uniquely styled 2012 Volkswagen Crafter remind you of The Mystery Machine from the Scooby Doo animation series? If interested, you can bid for it at the next Classic Car Auctions sale scheduled for August 3, 2019. The starting price is close to 50,000 USD.

Louis Tomlinson, lead singer of One Direction, and Zayn Malik, ex-member of the same band, commissioned the custom job. Compared to the vanilla Crafter, the van features a powerful audio system, heated floors, roof-mounted laser guns and a 55-inch TV set inside. This is far from the complete list, though. There are also four surveillance cameras, water spray guns, exterior-mounted audio speakers and a slew of gaming consoles on board, ranging from the Sony Playstation to the Nintendo Wii.

The actual van featured in the Scooby Doo series was built with the Chevrolet Sportvan 108 as the starting point. The animation’s wild success caused the sales to skyrocket and gave the company incentive to keep producing the model for three more decades.
