Audi Skysphere Concept is a luxury roadster for future roads

Audi has unveiled the Skysphere, an open-top design study meant to preview what opulent cars of the future will look like. A live premiere remains scheduled on August 13.

One of the main features of the car is its ability to transform by extending its wheelbase by 250 mm (9.76 inches), resulting in a longer body. Elsewhere, it sports 23-inch wheels with aerodynamic hubcaps, adaptive suspension, 4WS, and an electric powertrain worth 632 PS (623 hp / 465 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque.

The company claims the EV needs for seconds for a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) launch and offers 500 kilometers (310 miles) of range.

The interior benefits from what Audi calls a ‘seamless digital ecosystem’. When in Autopilot mode, the driver and passengers of the car get access to extended features of the infotainment system.
