Delta 4x4 turns Tesla Model Y into a badass off-roader

Performance EVs offer plenty of power and torque to be usable off the grid, but somehow this market segment is still not very popular. Delta 4x4, a well-known off-road specialist, aims to change this with its latest project car, a Tesla Model Y.

In its new guise, the electric SUV boasts 35 mm (1.4 inches) of extra suspension height, a spacious and practical roof rack, PIAA floodlights and 60mm plastic fender flares. A ppeek inside the arches reveals Klassik B 20-inch wheels shod in Continental CrossContact tires with beadlock protection.

Nothing is mentioned about cabin and drivetrain changes, so there are likely none. That said, even the base Model Y AWD (see video) sends 287 PS (283 hp / 211 kW) to the wheels, so power is not going to be lacking.
