Zeekr launches its most powerful car in China

Geely-owned car brand Zeekr has started the domestic sales of its most powerful vehicle so far, the all-electric 001 FR liftback. According to Car News China, the starting price is a lofty 769,000 Yuan ($105,100).

The supercar has four individually controlled electric motors that combine their output for 1,265 PS (1,248 hp / 930 kW) and let you do a full standing turn. It also sports a distinct body kit including bumpers, splitters, side skirts, a diffuser, a spoiler ad a rear wing. Deceleration is handled by Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes with ten-piston AP Racing calipers. It doesn’t even sound that extreme when you consider that the car goes 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 2.37 seconds and maxes out at 280 km/h (174 mph).

The production of the ‘FR’ special edition will be capped at 99 units per month. The first batch will be personally delivered to the customers by none other than Kimi Räikkönen, ex-Formula 1 champion who signed up with Zeekr as its advisor following his retirement.
