Zeekr, a premium EV brand owned by Geely Auto, has shared some shots from the road tests of its all-new SUV, the 003. The vehicle will be joining the company of the 001 liftback and the 009 MPV.
The Zeekr 003 comes based on the Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) developed by Geely, which is also powering a multitude of other cars worldwide including the Smart #1. It features characteristic headlights and taillights, a recognizable shoulder line and pull-out door handles.
As for the powertrain, it will also be borrowed from the Smart brand. A single electric motor mounted on the rear axle will drive it with 272 PS (268 hp / 200 kW), while a 66-kWh traction battery will grant 420–440 km (261–273 miles) of range on average.
The premiere in China is officially scheduled for this spring. For the time being, the model will stay on its domestic market.
