Alfa Romeo fan and driver builds his own sim rig

An Alfa Romeo enjoyer from Poland has posted a video on his social pages showing off his homemade racing sim rig. The man, who drives an Alfa Romeo 147, said he wanted to reproduce the familiar cabin feel of his car while driving various other marques in virtual reality.

He sourced the main components from an Alfa Romeo Brera, including the center console, the dashboard and the air vents. The driver’s seat and steering wheel originate from a Giulia instead, and some parts, including the gauges and the pedals, are backlit for convenience.

For the sim part, he mainly used the Logitech G29 hardware. The simulator can be plugged into a PC or a PlayStation. Going forward, the enthusiast plans to sync the rear dashboard indications with those displayed in the various games, but whether it can be accomplished and how remains unclear.
