Aehra, a car manufacturing startup based in Milan, Italy, has unveiled its second all-electric car. Named simply ‘Sedan’, it looks rather more like a four-door supercar, shares many design traits with the company’s first model called ‘SUV’, and offers 800 km (497 miles) of range per full charge.
The Sedan has flared wheel arches, an aggressive-looking front bumper and squinting headlights. The cabin resides farther to the front end of the car than usual, evoking associations with mid-engined supercars when you look at it from the sides, but four doors serve as a reminder that it is puts substance ahead of style – at least in this respect. Responsible for the design is none other than Filippo Perini, ex-Lamborghini design chief.
The automaker has already confirmed that both the SUV and the Sedan will support fast 350kW charging and come equipped with large 120-kWh batteries. The production of the SUV is planned for 2025, and the Sedan is expected to follow it in a year. The prices are currently estimated between U.S. $160,000 and $200,000.
