Audi reveals new RS3 with specs and pricing

After disclosing some of the more interesting technical details, Audi has officially introduced the next-gen RS3 sedan and hatchback. Both will be available in Europe starting in August, priced from €60,000 for the former and €62,000 for the latter.

The new generation looks more aggressive than ever, particularly due to the black honeycomb grille and matching front bumper. Also included in the body kit are side skirts, a spoiler, a gloss-black rear diffuser, and oval tailpipes.

Found inside are seats adorned with contrast stitching and a digital cockpit combining a 12.3-inch infotainment system display and a 10.1-inch multimedia screen into a single unit. Carbon fiber inserts contribute to the upmarket feel.

Power comes from a five-cylinder turbo engine rated at 400 PS (394 hp / 294 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque. The U.S. specification will be slightly more powerful that this. The EU spec can sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.8 seconds and tops out at 290 km/h (180 mph).

A seven-speed DCT sends the power to all four wheels through a sophisticated torque vectoring system capable of redirecting 100% of the torque to the rear axle or shift it towards one wheel, which can be useful in corners.
