Drag Race: Ken Block’s Hoonitron vs. Sport Quattro S1

Carwow has compared two exotic Audis on the quarter-mile strip, pitting the unique S1 Hoonitron up against a rally-built 1985 Sport Quattro S1.

Originally made for the late star driver Ken Block, the Hoonitron prototype draws its power from dual electric motors joining forces for 680 PS (671 hp / 500 kW) and 640 Nm (472 lb-ft) of torque. It is fairly heavy for a sports car at 1,620 kilos (3,571 lbs) because of a 53-kWh traction battery.

The Audi Sport Quattro S1 is featherweight in comparison with 1,090 kilos (2,403 lbs) before liquids. It is also considerably less powerful with 500 PS (493 hp / 368 kW) and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) of torque headed for the wheels.
