The second generation of the BMW X2 debuts tomorrow, and to keep things interesting, the automaker has just teased a performance version of the SUV, named the M35i.
The short vid focuses on the individual parts of the soft-roader – the hood, radiator grille, black side mirrors, the badge, black-and-silver alloy wheels and brake calipers. The rear end is also briefly shown with a prominent spoiler and two tailpipes.
Rumor has it that the next-gen BMW X2 M35i will essentially be a coupe-shaped X1 M35i xDrive. If so, then it may receive the same engine as that model – a 2.0-liter twin-turbo four-cylinder unit with 300 PS (296 hp / 221 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque at its disposal.
