The Aveo nameplate is well-known in the automotive industry, but Chevrolet is no longer producing the car anywhere but in Mexico. It has now been updated to its second generation.
Actually, the car on sale there is a rebadged Chevrolet Sail sedan for China, which is now also available in hatchback flavor. Both look like the latest Wuling cars and use LED DRLs alongside old halogen headlamps.
The 2024 Aveo for Mexico continues using a simple chassis and comes equipped with 15-inch standard wheels, six airbags, an 8-inch infotainment display and a reversing camera. Climate control is a paid option.
Both the sedan and the hatchback ship with a 1.5-liter IC engine rated at 98 PS (97 hp / 72 kW) and 142 Nm (105 lb-ft) of torque. You can choose between six-speed manual and CVT for the transmission.
