Stellantis reports successful solid-state battery tests

Stellantis and Factorial have confirmed that their preliminary tests of innovative solid-state battery cells designed for EVs have concluded as planned.

According to the automaker, the new cells boast high energy density at 375 Wh/kg and can replenish their charge from 15 to 90 percent in just 18 minutes. They are also thermally versatile, designed to stay operational from –30 to +45 degrees Celsius (–22…+113 degrees Fahrenheit).

In 2026, the company plans to launch the send the first Dodge Charger Daytona EV prototypes with these batteries testing on public streets.
