Famous restomod builder Desert Power Wagons has unveiled its latest project: a 1946 Dodge Power Wagon riding on a rebuilt chassis with a Cummins six-cylinder diesel under the hood and a posh retro interior. Prices start from U.S. $315,950.

The 5.9-liter engine uses a four-speed automatic transmission and a manual-shift transfer case to deliver more than 507 PS (500 hp / 373 kW) and 1,356 Nm (1,000 lb-ft) of torque to the wheels. The body-on-frame chassis has been upgraded to handle the power with Fox Racing components in the suspension and Dana axles. The truck rides on 18-inch wheels shod in 37-inch Maxxis Razr M/T tires and commands up to 240 mm (9.4 inches) of suspension travel.

The exterior of the example shown here is finished in a restrained shade of green with black accents – a nod to the color scheme of the original Power Wagon. The bed is lined with natural wood, and more wood can be found in the cabin alongside vintage quilted leather. The equipment list mentions a winch, LED lights all around, climate control and Rockford Fosgate speakers plugged into a Bluetooth-enabled multimedia system.
