Ferrari unveils its most powerful road-worthy supercar on record

Shortly after announcing a special edition of the 812 Superfast and revealing a few pics, Ferrari held a full-fledged reveal event dedicated to the extreme road-going coupe.

Named the 812 Competizione, the ultimate ride boasts enhanced aerodynamics and a revised version of the 6.5-liter V12 now tuned to deliver 830 PS (819 hp / 610 kW) and 692 Nm (510 lb-ft) of torque. This is 30 horsepower more than the stock 812 model outputs, albeit the torque loses 26 Newton-meters.

Aside from the above, the road racer shed 38 kilos (84 lbs) and now weighs 1,487 kg (3,278 lbs). It also needs 2.85 seconds instead of 2.9 to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) from standstill.

As you must have noticed, there is a roadster standing next to the coupe on some of the pics and in the video. It is called the Ferrari 812 Competizione A, but that’s about all we know right now. Prices, production quantity and detailed specifications remain to be announced.
