The Tecnomar for Lamborghini 101FT is 101 feet (above 30 meters) long, packs as much power as a dozen of Lamborghinis and should be ready for delivery in two years’ time.
In the meantime, the marine yacht exists in the form of these drawings and renderings by Tecnomar, part of the Italian Sea Group and one of the world’s largest manufacturers of luxury naval vessels.
The idea is to produce a yacht in the same color scheme as a Lamborghini supercar with the same body outlines and similar lighting. Furthermore, the company pledges to do its best to style the control room as a driver’s cockpit, complete with a steering wheel and other features typically only found in land vehicles. Plans also exist for three passenger cabins capable of accommodating up to nine guests.
A trio of marine-grade diesel engines will drive three propellers with a combined force of 7,600 PS (approximately 7,500 hp, or 5,590 kW). Equipped like this, the yacht will be able to cruise at 35 knots, which amounts to roughly 65 km/h or 40 miles per hour. The top speed will be capped at 45 knots, or 83 km/h, 51.6 mph. Range figures remain to be measured.
This isn’t the first time the Italian automaker works together with the yacht maker. Five years ago, they teamed up to reveal the Tecnomar 63 – a vessel 19 meters (62.34 ft) long with a 4,000-hp (3,000-kW) powertrain. It was inspired by the Lamborghini Sian FKP 37. In turn, the new one aims to capture the spirit of the recently unveiled Fenomeno model.
