Rowan Atkinson, the legendary Mr. Bean, will be auctioning off his unique Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evo II hatchback on February 25, 2023. The identity of the owner and the condition of the car have prompted estimates in the vicinity of £75,000 ($92,200).
The actor bought the car in May 2021 and has since put less than 3,000 km (1,850 miles) on it. The total mileage is reported as ‘under 90,000 km’ (56,000 miles). Atkinson said he had bought it because he liked the Lord Blue exterior paint.
The five-door hatch was assembled 30 years ago for a customer in Japan, but was brought to the UK in 2011. It received a Momo steering wheel, Recaro seats and 16-inch wheels from the factory.
In 1993, the Evo II was the latest Lancia Delta special edition on the market, coming with a 2.0-liter turbo under the hood rated at 215 PS (212 hp / 158 kW).
Some Delta examples have fetched much higher prices lately. Another Evo II hatchback – a rare Edizione Finale spec – was put up on sale for £225,000 in late 2021.
