Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a new version of the range-topping AMG G 63 SUV titled ‘Grand Edition’. The off-roader has been reimagined in gold and black shades with the same tech as before and is available in Europe from €228,900 – a premium of roughly €40,000 over the stock version.
The body of the car is finished in matte black with numerous golden accents on the bumpers, 22-inch wheels and spare wheel cover, to name a few. For the first time on record, the Mercedes and AMG badges are also recolored to match the rest.
The custom graphics on the sides is meant to remind you about the history of the G-Class, which sprouted an AMG version as far back as 2022.
A peek inside reveals black Nappa leather trim with golden stitching and matching AMG logos on the seats. Most of the extra trim bits are made from genuine carbon fiber.
Only 1,000 units will be made.
