Nearly 50% of U.S. EV owners want to go back to driving ICE, study finds

McKinsey & Company has polled a total of 30,000 people across 15 countries about their experience, and the results aren’t great.

Apparently, as many as 29% of all EV owners would like to get back to driving a normal fuel-powered car instead. This number only goes up to a whopping 46% in the United States. Furthermore, 21% of the respondents said they would never even consider buying an EV.

As before, inadequate driving range and infrastructure turned up among the most quoted reasons. Owners also complained about EVs being too expensive to buy and maintain and agreed that longer trips became unnecessarily complicated, as they now required getting a whole other car or that sole purpose.
