Chevrolet Silverado gets a 710-PS modification

U.S.-based tuning firm Fox Factory has unveiled a rather extreme aftermarket take on the Chevy Silverado, pricing it from $209,999 – more than twice as much as the original costs.

The truck’s 6.2-liter V8 receives a high-end turbocharger, a Borla performance exhaust system and other upgrade components. As a result, it outputs 710 PS (700 hp / 522 kW) and 868 Nm (640 lb-ft) to the wheels via a stock ten-speed AT.

The company also replaces the rear spring setup with a multi-link one and swaps the stock shocks out for electronic Fox dampers. New control arms, air-ride cushions and other such improvements are also on the list. They let the truck have 370 mm (14.45 inches) of suspension travel at the front and 395 mm (15.43 in) at the back. The track becomes around 150 mm (6 in) wider, too, allowing new 17-inch wheels shod in 37-inch tires to fit comfortably in the arches.

On the aesthetic side of things, the truck gets a carbon-fiber body kit and special bumpers designed to improve approach and departure angles. The cabin gets an overhaul with Alcantara and carbon fiber as the main materials.

Only 500 examples will be made, and you can already order one.
